Field Meetings

                                   Field Meetings 2022-23

Field meetings take place every other Thursday throughout the year with some additional Monday walks at Keyhaven or Pennington marshes on Mondays in Winter.

Meetings normally start at 10 o'clock and last about two and a half hours.  The current programme can be downloaded via the link below.

The terrain in the New Forest is often wet and boggy. Members are advised to wear sturdy footwear and to be prepared for inclement weather, including appropriate clothing. A packed lunch is recommended for walks continuing beyond lunchtime. Do please take care and enjoy the walks but remember that responsibility for personal safety lies with the individual not the Society.

The leader for the walk undertakes to be at the walk venue and will make any final decision on the scope of the walk based on the prevailing conditions. If the weather is uncertain, especially for a longer distance meeting, please check with Richard Smith, the Walks' Co-ordinator that the meeting will be going ahead before setting out.  His number can be found on the programme.

If a car park is closed an alternative will be found and everyone notified; someone will be at the closed car park to re-direct.

Please ensure that cars are left secure and with all valuables stored out of sight

Map references are given from the Ordnance Survey New Forest Explorer OL22 map.

Non-members £3 per meeting.                            No DOGS please.
